With the investiture May 1 of Collins J. Seitz Jr. as Delaware’s newest Supreme Court justice, the high court’s extreme makeover of the past year is complete.

Seitz—known as C.J. Seitz—became the fourth new member of the high court to take office in the space of 14 months, succeeding retiring Justice Henry duPont Ridgely. The transformation began with the elevation of Chief Justice Leo E. Strine Jr. on Feb. 28, 2014. Strine was quickly joined on the high court by Karen Valihura in July 2014 and James T. Vaughn Jr. in October 2014.
