HUBBALLI: Vidyanagar police arrested three chain snatchers, and recovered ornaments, weighing 351 gm, worth Rs 8.50 lakh and two motorcycles here on Sunday evening.
Police inspector Girish Rodkar said the three men were arrested during a random vehicle screening at Shivagiri in Lingaraj Nagar. “They were behaving in a suspicious manner. So, we picked them up for questioning.
At the police station, they admitted that they were involved in chain-snatching cases at Gokul Road, Navanagar and Vidyanagar.”
The arrested — Nagaraj Ashok Panase, 20, of Chikkeri Plot, Amargol; Manjunath Nagappa Nargund, 21, of Kumbar Street, Sutagatti; and Manjunath Fakirappa Bendalgatti, 23, of Tadas village in Shiggaonv taluk — have been remanded in judicial custody.
