Realty firm GM files extortion case

NOIDA: A resident of a Supertech society has been booked in an extortion case after a complaint by a general manager of the real estate company. An FIR was filed at Phase 2 police station against B V Raisinghani, who lives in Sector 93A society.
Samarjeet Singh, the police station-in-charge, said, “The complainant, Vikas Tyagi, general manager (operations) at Supertech Limited, had approached the Gautam Budh Nagar district court, demanding the registration of an FIR against the resident on charges of extortion.The court ordered Noida Police to lodge the FIR and investigate. Acordingly, we lodged an FIR against B V Raisinghani on Sunday night under Section 386 (extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) of the IPC.”
Singh added, “In his 10 page long complaint, Tyagi wrote that after not paying maintenance charges, Raisinghani complained about Tyagi via emails to his seniors, and made extortion bids threatening dire consequences directly.”
Raisinghani denied all charges, describing them as a conspiracy. “Police have not reacted to my complaints, and are shielding Tyagi,” he said.
