KANSANSHI Dynamos at the weekend suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Indeni as Lumwana assumed leadership of the FAZ Division One North table after thrashing Mining Rangers 3-0 in the Week Seven fixtures.
Brian Mwila scored the all important goal from the penalty spot on 70 minutes to propel Indeni to a home victory as Kansanshi dropped into second place on 14 points, one behind Lumwana.
Zesco Luapula 0 Ndola 2
Ndola United bounced back to winning ways, thanks to an emphatic victory over Zesco Luapula in Mansa. Wadel Kabwe pulled the visitors ahead on 19 minutes before hit man Green Lwitika sealed victory with an 83rd minute strike to ensure maximum points for the Ndola outfit.

Mabvuto Daka’s first half strike was all Chindwin Sentries needed to secure a home win over Real Nakonde.
Elsewhere, Konkola Mine Police woes deepened after losing 2-0 to Copperbelt Buffaloes 2-0 in Ndola to remain rock bottom of the table. Roan United overpowered Gomes in Ndola to remain within the top four as Mufulira Blackpool beat Kalulushi Modern Stars 3-1.
Chambishi put three goals past First Quantum Minerals while Kitwe United snatched 2-1 win at Zesco Solwezi.

In southern zone, leaders Kabwe Warriors kept their push for promotion well and truly alive with a memorable away win at stubborn Zesco Malaiti Rangers in Lusaka with Paul Simpemba’s goal taking the railway men to 17 points.
Nampundwe 0 Tigers 2
Lusaka Tigers picked up a defining win that took them to second on the league table, the highest standing in three years, to now rightfully dreaming of promotion.
Going into this game as third placed team against second placed Nampundwe, Tigers win meant they move into clear second position with 16 points, just one point off leaders Warriors and inspiringly three clear of third placed Prison Leopards.
Also enjoying a fine Week-Seven outing away was Katete Rangers who went to Woodlands Stadium and battered hosts City Of Lusaka 2-0 to get their second win of the season.
Other results saw Prison beat Medics 3-0, Kalomo Jetters were 1-0 winners over Matero United as Livingstone Pirates narrowly beat Riflemen 1-0 but it was a draw between Mongu Youth and Paramilitary who battled to a 1-all draw and same was the results between Kafue Celtic and Luena Buffaloes while Lusaka City Council drew 2-2 with Zesco Shockers in a four-goal thriller.
