BJP MLA Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli has accused fellow partymen of conspiring to defeat him in the elections to the board of directors of Naranja Sahakari Sakkare Karakhane.

“Some BJP leaders have instigated a few farmers to file nominations against my panel members. They include BJP MP Bhagwant Khuba, MLC Raghunath Malkapure, Zilla panchayat members Shailendra Beldale and Kushal Patil Gadgi, and party leader Babu Wali. I don’t know what they have against me. They are not treating me as a member of their party,” he told reporters.

“I am counted among the BJP legislators at the state level, but not at the district level,” Mr. Nagamarapalli said.

He said that he had complained about this to Jagadish Shettar, leader of the opposition in the Assembly. However, he gave no assurance of mending the ties, he said.
