MANGALURU: Vadavanaghatta in Turuvekere taluk of Tumakuru district recorded maximum rainfall of 70mm in the last 24 hours up to 8.30am on May 4.
Siddapur hobli in Gangavathi taluk of Koppala district recorded maximum temperature of 41.7°C at 3pm on May 3. Kenchamman Hoskota hobli in Aluru taluk of Hassan district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 19°C from 9.45pm to 10pm on May 3.

More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 38% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 39% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 6% of hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of =2.5mm. Heavy rain was recorded in one gram panchayat; rather heavy rain in five gram panchayats; moderate rain in 90 gram panchayats; light rain in 107 gram panchayats; very light rain in 168 gram panchayats; and no rainfall in remaining 4,114 GPs across the state.

Against normal weighted average rainfall of 14mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 10.9mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on May 4, four geographical regions received 0.6mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 2.4mm, a 72% surplus departure from the weighted-average normal.
