Rahul Mitra to helm Ponty Chadha's business

Film producer Rahul Mittra, who has produced films like the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster franchise, Bullet Raja and the Kangana Ranaut starrer Revolver Rani, has taken over as CEO of Wave group's film business. The group is owned by the family of business tycoon Ponty Chadha who was killed in a shootout when his own brother opened fire at him.
Hailing from Chandigarh, Rahul has dabbled variously in careers as journalism, corporate communication, and now filmmaking.

According to the sources, Rahul has been brought in to strategically streamline the company's film business, besides taking care of some big film projects. His appointment to the group acquires significance in Bollywood as the umbrella brand of Wave is the one of the few film studios in the country to own all three verticals of production, distribution and exhibition.
Rahul’s association with director Tigmanshu Dhulia has been both fruitful and strong as the two went on to make four films together which collected fair amount of revenue at the box office. Most of these films popularized the gangster cult.
