Sadiqabad: Seven abducted police officials' rescued after successful operation

Police claims that a dacoit Golu Shar have been killed during the aerial shelling.

SADIQABAD (Dunya News) – Seven abducted officials of Punjab police have been rescued after a 30 hour long operation in Sadiqabad, Dunya News reported on Monday.

According to SP Gothki, the rescued officials have reached the Machka police station.

He also stated that both aerial and ground operations were conducted to rescue the police officials which extended till 30 hours.

Two helicopters and more than 2000 police officials from Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Kashmor and Rahim Yar Khan participated in the rescue operation.

Aerial operation was halted after rescuing the officials however, ground operation continues.

Police claim that a dacoit Golu Shar has been killed during the aerial shelling but no arrest has been made yet.

Moreover, police pickets have been established at all the entry and exit points of Kacha area.

It merits mentioning here that seven policemen including Special Squad’s ASI were abducted on Saturday after thirty suspected robbers stormed a police check post near Machka area of Sadiqabad.

The abducted personnels belonging to Punjab Police’s Special Squad were deployed on special task.
