Judge hearing Salman Khan hit-and-run case transferred

According to the transfer guidelines, a judge is expected to finish the judgment in all cases in which hearing has been concluded. Both the prosecution and the defence had concluded their arguments in the hit-and-run case on April 20.

The judge has presided over the case since 2013, after fresh charges of culpable homicide, attracting 10 years of rigorous imprisonment, was added as part of the charges against the actor. The prosecution alleged that on September 28, 2002,

Khan rammed into a shop in Bandra, killing one and injuring four others sleeping on a platform outside the shop.

Judge Deshpande examined 27 prosecution witnesses, one defence witness and put accros 419 questions to Khan, during the entire course of the trial.
