Rustenburg - Mamelodi Sundowns have reclaimed second place in the PSL standings with a 2-1 victory over 10-man Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Brazilians opened the scoring after 14 minutes through Hlompho Kekana, before Katlego Mashego doubled their advantage shortly before the half-hour mark.

And, although Letladi Madubanya managed to pull one back for Dikwena just before the break, Solomon Mathe's sending off midway through the second period ended any hopes the hosts had of completing the comeback.
