GUJRANWALA:


Two kiln workers were killed and another was seriously injured on Saturday after unidentified men fired shots at them in Gujranwala.


According to Muhammad Younas, who works at the kiln owned by Mushtaq Wariach the attack occurred at 11am.

“The gunmen arrived on a bike. They saw Khurram, Warriach’s son, drinking water from a handpump and shot him. They then proceeded further and saw two labourers sitting on a cot. ,” Younas said.

Khurram was taken to the district headquarters hospital. The two labourers died on the spot. They were identified as Muhammad Afzal, 60, a resident of Waheed Colony and Muhammad Inayat, 55, a resident of Pindi Bhattian.

The labourers said that police arrived at the crime scene three hours later.

The Cantonment police SHO said: “We are investigating the attack. The motive will become clear soon.”
