Chef D'Oeuvre can be starter in Bowe double

Point-to-point

Handlers are taking advantage of the ideal ground conditions, leading to bumper entries - and divided races look a very real possibility at a couple of weekend meetings.

At Laurencetown tomorrow there are 43 four-year-olds entered and Colin Bowe's Chef D'Oeuvre could be the one to beat. Bowe could follow up in the mares' maiden with Theatre Mole.

At Curraheen tomorrow Sam Curling's Robyns Approach can take the opener, and Robert Tyner will take beating in the five-year-old maiden with Royals And Rebels.

Adrian Maguire gave his son Finny his first ever point to point winner with Seventh Sign last Sunday and he could follow up in the Open.

Willie Murphy's Alkaa Lion looks an interesting sort in the winner. David O'Brien's Freeway Space stands out in the mares' maiden.

At Dawstown on Monday, Andy Slattery could take the five-year-old maiden with Sean Ban, and in the winner-of-two Sean Aherne's Buckskin Boulta looks good.

Niall Kelleher's Presenting Streak can take the older maiden.

Number of the week

6 - the Point to Point Awards take place on Saturday, June 6 at the Minella Hotel in Clonmel. See p2p.ie from Monday.

Horse to follow

Out Of Style won impressively at Dromahane last Sunday for Donnchadh Doyle.

Weekend selection

Sam Curling has his team in top form and has Klassy and Grand Gold in the Ladies' Open at Laurencetown so whichever one he chooses to run will take a lot of beating.
