Training programme for unemployed youth

As a prelude to the Army Recruitment Rally, which will be held in Adilabad district from May 4 to 13, the Karimnagar district administration, in association with the Police Department, embarked upon the ambitious task of providing training to unemployed youth.

Accordingly, the police authorities conducted an Army recruitment awareness camp at the District Police Training College (DPTC) on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Friday. As part of the training programme, the police authorities conducted training in running, pull-ups, long jump, chest expansion etc.

Collector Neetu Prasad formally launched the training programme by flagging off the running event. On the occasion, she said the youth should feel proud to serve the country by joining the Indian Army. She called upon the youth to achieve their desired goal of securing employment and serving the country by joining the Army.

Superintendent of Police V. Shiva Kumar said that the awareness camp would instil confidence among unemployed youth and help them secure employment in the Army. OSD L. Subbarayudu also joined candidates during the running event to motivate participants. A total of 650 candidates attended the training programme. Additional SP (administration) B. Janardhan Reddy, Karimnagar town DSP J. Rama Rao, AR DSP Koteshwara Rao and others were present.
