BJP president Amit Shah will visit Dehradun on May 3 to review the functioning of the party in Uttarakhand.

This is Mr. Shah’s first visit to Dehradun after the BJP faced debacle in all the by-elections on Vidhan Sabha seats held after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. State BJP chief Tirath Singh Rawat told the media on Friday that Mr. Shah would address party workers, MPs, MLAs and Zila Panchayat members.

Mr. Shah also will discuss plan for the 2017 Assembly polls.
