Woman dies after being 'hit by a train' in Flintshire

A 20-year-old woman died after reports she was hit by a train near a Flintshire railway station, British Transport Police (BTP) has said.

Officers from BTP and North Wales Police went to Shotton Low Level station after the alarm was raised at 11:00 BST on Friday.

The woman, from Connah's Quay, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A BTP spokeswoman said her family are being informed of her death and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
