NFU Let's Talk Farming Roadshow visits Royal Welsh Spring Festival

Celebrity farmer, Johnny Ball, and his NFU Let’s Talk Farming Roadshow will be visiting the Royal Welsh Spring Festival, in Builth Wells later this month.

Johnny Ball, famous for his agricultural poems will be on hand to entertain and inform the crowds throughout the weekend Festival happening on the Royal Welsh Showground on Saturday and Sunday, 16 and 17 May 2015.

The NFU Let’s Talk Farming Roadshow is touring the UK this summer. It is aimed at raising public awareness of agriculture, putting a face to farming and explaining what farmers do.

The Let’s Talk Farming Roadshow aims to provide information to the public on farming. The Roadshow also tells the story of how food moves from the farm to the dinner table and how farmers are meeting environmental challenges while providing great tasting food. It also includes activity booklets for children as well as a Let’s Sow Seeds pack so visitors can try their hand at growing a variety of salad leaves at their own home.

NFU Cymru President, Stephen James, always looks forward to welcoming Johnny Ball back to Wales. He said, “Johnny Ball is an asset to NFU Cymru. In a subtle and entertaining way he informs all ages about what we do as farmers and how food is produced.”
