Pallavi Subhash in Puneeth’s 25th film

She replaced Sonam Bajwa
Pallavi Subhash in Puneeth’s 25th film
It’s official. Kollywood director Saravanan’s untitled Kannada film will be Puneeth Rajkumar’s 25th movie. While the makers had initially roped in Punjabi lass Sonam Bajwa as his heroine, they’ve now replaced her with Marathi and Hindi TV actress Pallavi Subhash.
Pallavi, who is also doing Gautham Menon’s upcoming Tamil film with Simbu, landed the film after Saravanan saw rushes from that film. Pallavi says, “I’ve always wanted to do South Indian films, which I love watching.
While I may have not watched many Kannada films, I know that Puneeth is a big star here and I am thrilled to work in his 25th film.”
Incidentally, Sonam was replaced because the makers allegedly felt that she wouldn’t do justice to the role after they did a look test.
Arun Vijay to make Kannada debut
Tamil actor Arun Vijay, who got a new lease of life with Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhal that starred Ajith, will be making his Kannada debut with this film too. The actor will be playing a pivotal role, which is almost like a parallel lead. Director Saravanan felt that Arun would be the right person for this role when he wrote this script.
