No assurance, only hope for families

No assurance, only hope for families
GUNJI/TONGLABAD: “When he was in a ‘position’, he did nothing for us. What is this ‘padayatra’ now for?” said a Gunji farmer after Rahul left the home of Nilesh Walke, who committed suicide at the young age of 23 following crop loss. But his father wasn’t despondent even after Rahul did not assure him anything. He demanded loan waiver and financial aid for the coming season. “Rahul only listened to us but did not assure anything.
But we have to be content with what we discussed with him,” he said.
Walke’s neighbour Shankar Devaji Shelokar (73) said, “He (Rahul) will do good to us, I am sure. I saw Panditji, I saw Indiraji, I also saw Rajivji and today Rahul blessed us.”
The families Rahul visited had one thing to tell in common to him — waive bank loans. But he could not promise anything on this except his party’s resolve to fight for their problems.
Rahul asked the grief-stricken families not to lose courage. He assured them that he was with them and would fight till the end for their cause.
