The social media was buzzing all day yesterday after Sonu Nigam tweeted in the wee hours, 2.59 am, "So now Zee announces a ban on me. :) What do I say.. God bless everyone."

While no one from the channel would entertain our texts or calls, the singer told this diarist that the dispute was due to something personal."Maybe someday I will come out with it. As for now, I wish to stay away from negativity," he added.
When prodded on the subject, he pointed out that he had resolved his issues with T-Series earlier too because they are family.
"Zee too has been my old associates and I never lose my roots. As I always say, there is a God!" he asserted and refused to say another word on the subject.

The war of words started after Zee News suggested that Kumar Viswas said "atakgaya" after Rajasthan farmer Gajendra Singh's suicide when it was later proved that he wasn't even speaking then and the words must have been uttered by someone standing close by. Sonu expressed his open support for his poet friend and Zee reportedly reacted by deciding to not only ban him on the channel but also not record any more songs with him undeer their music label.
