IIT-M team bags honours

On April 27, an IIT-Madras team, comprising Suthirth Vaidya and Abhijith Chunduru ,  final year Integrated Masters (M. Tech + B. Tech) students from the Engineering Design department, under the guidance of Dr. Ganapathy Krishnamurthi and Dr. M Ramanathan emerged victorious in the Longitudinal Multiple Sclerosis Segmentation Challenge at ISBI 2015, New York.

The IIT-M team, the only participant from Asia, was declared to have come up with the best performing algorithm.  

The Longitudinal Multiple Sclerosis Lesion Segmentation Challenge aims to bring all researchers, worldwide, to develop accurate methods for automatically identifying all affected regions in the brain from MR images.
