NOIDA: The
Allahabad high court has ordered the
Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) to get its executive committee elections conducted by the deputy registrar of firms, chits and societies (Meerut), Divesh Singh.
The federation earlier issued a notice of election according to the high court order of April 3, directing the executive committee of FONRWA to fix the date of election.
“We had initiated the process of elections in compliance with the high court order and were about to issue the final notification and schedule of election to be held on May 10, with clear 15 days’ notice, after announcement of the same at the meeting of FONRWA on April 26,” said A N Dhawan, acting senior vice president FONRWA.
“But a correction in the order was issued on April 24, changing the words ‘executive committee’ to ‘registrar’. Accordingly the elections are now to be conducted by the deputy registrar Meerut.”
FONRWA has now written to the deputy registrar Meerut requesting him to conduct the election at the earliest.
