IIIT Delhi announces admissions to M.Tech programmes

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi has announced admissions to its M.Tech programmes. The institute is inviting applications for the courses of Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Computational Biology and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). The interested and eligible candidates may send their applications according to the prescribed format.

Eligibility criteria:

M.Tech (CSE and ECE): The candidates should have a B.Tech or B.E degree in any of these disciplines-Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronics and Communication. They should have a score of minimum 65 percent, or a 6.5 score out of 10 under the CGPA or CPI system. The candidates must have a minimum score of 60 percent in all previous degrees, including Class 12 examination.

Computational Biology: The candidates should have a B.Tech or B.E degree in any of these disciplines- Computer Science, Information Technology or Mathematics and Computing. Or, the candidates should have a B.Tech or B.E degree in any discipline along with having completed a one-year computer programming course and at least two mathematics courses.

Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of a three-step process:

• The candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE score and past academic record
• The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a written exam
• The candidates who clear the written test will be called for an interview

Application procedure: The candidates can apply online on the official website of IIIT Delhi, www.iiitd.ac.in.

Application fee: The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 350.

Important dates:

• The last date of receipt of applications is May 24
• The list of shortlisted candidates will be released on May 25
• The written test and interview will be conducted on June 11
• The final result will be declared on June 15
