DEFENDING champions Dynamos have received a big boost with the return of Cliff Sekete and Patrick Khumbula to full fitness. The pair has been on the sidelines for over a month.

Dynamos coach David Mandigora yesterday said he was happy to have all his players back in training after completing their workout at Prince Edward School yesterday.

The Glamour Boys are preparing for a top-of-the-table clash with pace-setters Chicken Inn at Rufaro on Sunday.

Mandigora also revealed that Young Warriors defender Blessing Moyo and goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva, who picked knocks ahead of their last league game against Harare City, have also recovered.

“Everybody is back in training and we are happy with that. Of course, we may still need to look at some of the players but the bottom line is they are all training, which is encouraging,” said Mandigora.

For the first time, the coach now appears to have his full squad at his disposal with the return of Ocean Mushure, Masimba Mambare and Qadr Amini last week.

The Dynamos gaffer predicted a tough outing against the race leaders.

Chicken Inn have been in top form after winning five of their opening six games this season.

“All games that we have played so far in the season are difficult. Obviously, this one is going to be harder of which we also need to work harder,” said Mandigora.

“As I have said before, there is no small game.

“There is no easy team in the Premier League hence we need to be at our best always.

“Last week we didn’t play very well against Harare City. We didn’t do as much as we would have wanted so we need to improve on a number of things, especially on our finishing.”

There was no winner last year when DeMbare and the Gamecocks squared off in their two league assignments.

The first leg was a goalless draw at Barbourfields while Brian Mbiriri scored a spectacular goal to earn the Bulawayo side a point in the 1-1 draw against the defending champions at Gwanzura in the return fixture.

Another interesting fixture is expected when Harare City travel to Gibbo on Sunday.

The Sunshine Boys are on a revival path following a slow start this year under new coach Taurai Mangwiro.

Triangle’s campaign received a dent last Sunday when they lost for the first time this season in a 1-0 defeat at newboys Flame Lily.

Harare giants CAPS United have a big game away to Highlanders on Sunday.

This will be their second visit to Barbourfields this year following the 2-1 win over the Bulawayo giants in the Bob 91 Super Cup play-off during the pre-season.

“This is another big game for us. We had a difficult start, playing some of the best sides early in the league,” said coach Mark Harrison.

“So we are a little bit behind where I wanted us to be right now but not too far.

“Slowly, we are moving in the right direction. We have got a lot of things going on at this club which makes life difficult but we are pushing on.”

FC Platinum will open the weekend programme when they clash with newboys Tsholotsho at Mandava on Friday.

Their coach Norman Mapeza will be under pressure to win following a poor start.
