The Kerala Folklore Akademi’s (KFA) ‘Mambazhakkalam’ vacation camp for school children this year is planned to take young participants to undergo experiences in rural life.

The five-day vacation camp beginning here from May 1 would be an attempt to give participants an opportunity to have the uncontaminated mangoes cultivated in rural areas, KFA chairman B. Muhammad Ahamad said .

Rural Development Minister K.C. Joseph will inaugurate the camp on May 1. The camp is being organised in association with the Vyloppilly Samskruthi Bhavan. It will also have painting competition, career guidance programme and other cultural programmes by the children.

Classes on script writing, study tour and culture studies would also be held as part of the camp, he added.
