Neeru-Chettu grama sabhas will be held in all the 13 districts of the State from May 2 to 11. Minister for Major Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that the grama sabhas should be used to make the rural population aware of the need for water conservation and management.
He addressed heads and officials of all line departments through video conferencing from the Andhra Pradesh State Development Planning Society (APSDPS) office in Hyderabad.
He also reviewed the progress of the works undertaken under the Neeru-Chettu Scheme.
