$5,000 reward for "Most Wanted" Texas sex offender

GRANBURY, Texas -- The Texas Department of Safety is searching for a 24-year-old man they say is a violent sex offender, after he allegedly failed to register and violated his probation.

Jefferey Phillip Paige, 24, has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list and a cash reward up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to his capture, according to the department.

In addition to allegedly failing to register as a sex offender, authorities say he violated probation in a child sex assault case.

Paige is described as six feet tall and 150 pounds. His residence is listed as Granbury, Texas, southwest of Fort Worth. He also has ties to the Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio areas, and he's been known to work in the restaurant industry, according to the department.

An additional reward for his arrest and indictment is being offered through Hood County Crime Stoppers. He's considered armed and dangerous.

Anonymous tipsters can call 1-800-252-TIPS (8477) , or text the letters "DPS" plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
