President of Rafael, former commando and admiral, steps down

The President and CEO of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, V.-Adm. (res.) Yedidia Yaari, is stepping down from his position, the company announced on Tuesday.

Ya'ari has headed Rafael, one of Israel's largest defense corporations, for the past 11 years. The 68-year-old had previously served in the Israel Navy for 36 years, and commanded it.

Rafael's flagship products include the Iron Dome rocket defense system, the Trophy active protection system for tanks and armored vehicle, and several additional defense systems.

"Ya'ari will continue on in his position until a new CEO is appointed," Rafael said in a statement.
