DI KHAN: The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the IED attack on a security forces convoy in which at least three security forces personnel were injured.

The security forces convoy came under attack while on Kulachi Road in Dera Ismail Khan, an Inter-Services Public Relations statement said.

"The TTP Special Task Force (STF) carried out the attack on the convoy," the TTP spokesperson, Muhammad Khorasani said.

Khorasani further claimed in a statement that an anti-jammer device, manufactured by the TTP's Engineering Unit TEC, was used for the attack.

The injured were shifted to Combined Military Hospital, DI Khan and the area was deemed to be in danger.

Security forces cordoned off the area and a search operation and investigation is underway.

No deaths were reported in initial reports.
