LAHORE: Eighteen probabales were on Monday called up by the PCB selection committee headed by Haroon Rashid in order to pick a few of them and add to the already short-listed bunch for the NCA’s Annual Emerging Players Programme scheduled to be held next month.

It saw Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) opener Naeemuddin finally coming in the reckoning having been a consistent performer over the last two seasons — scoring 1000 runs in each season and having a major hand in his team’s triumphs.

Naeem has been ignored by selectors and hasn’t been given a chance at international level. He wasn’t in the Pakistan ‘A’ team, which is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka, as he was included in the list of reserves.

Chief selector Haroon said the selectors had already picked players for the camp on their performances in the domestic season. He said after picking more players from Tuesday’s trials, the list of emerging camp will be announced.

Probables: Hasan Ali (Sialkot), Abdul Rehman Muzammil (Multan), Naeemuddin (SNGPL), Karamat Ali (ZTBL), Hussain Talat (SNGPL), Kamran Ghulam (SBP), Ammad Butt (Sialkot), Adil Amin (Peshawar), Waqas Maqsood (Sargodha), Mohammad Irfan (Wapda), Naeem Anjum (Islamabad), Gohar Ali (Peshawer), Mohammad Hasan (Karachi), Bilal Asif (Sialkot), Najaf Shah (Rawalpindi), Faisal Khan (Sialkot), Babar Rehman (Karachi/KPT), Khurram Shehzad (Faisalabad).
