Bengaluru: Arindam A. Bhattacharya of FIITJEE, with 311 for 360, is the highest scorer in the city in the JEE Mains examination, conducted for admissions to various National Institute of Technologies (NITs) including NITK-Surathkal in the state. The CBSE announced the results on Monday.
He also topped the all-India NTSE 2011 exams, won the gold medal in the International Junior Astronomy Olympiad held in 2012 in South Korea and secured the bronze at the international senior astronomy olympiad held in Greece in 2013.
Arindam, who has also been selected for Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said he will pursue his higher education in electrical engineering in the US. Devansh Sharma of Deeksha Network scored 305, Shishir G. of BASE secured 295 marks and Anvitha S. has secured 294.
