Constructing a Glass House

Work on the Glass House on the lines of the one at Lalbagh in Bengaluru is expected to begin after this year’s Dasara flower show.

Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture Krishna Kumar said that Rs 1.5 crore had been released for the purpose.

After Kuppanna Park was projected as a tourist destination with the launch of a musical fountain, the Horticulture Department had proposed to establish the glass house to hold year-long activities.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had announced the project in the budget for 2015-16, allocating Rs. 6 crore.
