19,070 complaints for CM’s programme in Malappuram

April 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - MALAPPURAM:

As many as 19,070 complaints have been registered for the Chief Minister’s mass contact programme to be held at MSP Grounds here on May 16. District Collector K. Biju has directed all district offices to reply to the complainants by May 16.

He said all efforts would be made to address the complaints soon. Constant monitoring of online complaints will be made. The progress will be evaluated daily, said district administration officials.

If any complaint is rejected, the complainant should get a valid reason for the rejection. Mr. Biju said that the administration could address the complaints before May 16 if online complaints were answered by May 2.

“We are aiming to reduce the rush on the day of the mass contact programme,” Mr. Biju said. A screening committee meeting to be held on May 7 under the chairmanship of Urban Affairs Minister Manjalamkuzhi Ali will choose 100 complaints which are beyond the purview of district administration. Chief Minister will directly examine such complaints and suggest a solution.
