Silent Witness: 2 suspects sought in Phoenix Safeway robbery
Silent Witness is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two suspects sought in an armed robbery of a Phoenix grocery store.
Police gave this account of the incident:
The suspects, a male and a female, entered the Safeway at Seventh Avenue and Osborn Road on April 10 around 9:30 p.m. and walked to the liquor section. The pair grabbed several bottles of alcohol and left the store without paying.
A loss prevention officer confronted the pair but the male suspect got into an altercation with the employee and pointed a revolver at him before getting away.
The male suspect is believed to be in his late 20s, is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, faded dark jeans and had gray or blue shoes with white trimmed soles. The female suspect was described as also being in her late 20s, 5 feet, 5 inches and weighing about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white tank top, dark shorts, black athletic shoes and has a tattoo across her chest and on the back of her left shoulder.
