Filmmaker Anandram is gearing up for the release of his upcoming project 'Pashbandh,' which has a strong social message in support of gender equality.
The film is inspired by a true incident which happened several decades ago. "The film is based on a true story of a brave woman from Dhule district in Maharashtra. The incident had taken place 30 years ago. The film presents woman���s fight against all the trouble she faced in her life, to rise up respectfully in the society," as reported by marathimovieworld.com.
The film aims at empowering all the women, who are mistreated, to stand for their rights in India's patriarchal society.
Actress Nandita Dhuri, who played the mother of two children in the film ���Elizabeth Ekadashi��� is playing the lead role while Atul Mahajan and Krutika Tulaskar will be essaying two other important roles. Anand Oak has composed the music for the film while Suresh Ghayawat has penned the lyrics for this movie which is expected to hit the theatres on May 22.
