TOKYO -- The number of foreign visitors to Japan has been steadily rising. According to the head of Narita International Airport -- one of Tokyo's two gateways -- the annual tourist tally is likely to reach the government's target of 20 million ahead of schedule.
Yet Makoto Natsume, the airport's president, noted in a recent interview with The Nikkei that it will take some work to make the most of the boom. The nation's airports, he stressed, are going to need additional capacity.
