He's ticked being the face of Burberry off his bucket list, and now young Romeo Beckham can say that he's run the London Marathon.

The 12-year-old ran the children's race of the event on Sunday and his family was at the finish line to provide support.

While his three-year-old sister, Harper, stayed at home, Romeo's mum, Victoria, dad David and brothers Brooklyn, 16, and Cruz, 10, were all in attendance, carrying homemade banners and wearing "Team Romeo" shirts.

It's unclear if the shirts are a Victoria Beckham creation.

A proud mother shared pictures of the family's banners and a post-race Romeo on her Instagram account, saying she was "so proud" of her son, who ran the race to raise money for UNAIDS and the 7 Fund.

The 7 Fund is David Beckham's new development fund for UNICEF, the United Nations' children's charity he is a spokesman for, while it seems likely that Romeo chose to support UNAIDS as a tip of the hat to his famous godfather, and AIDS activist, Sir Elton John.

Older brother Brooklyn also took to Instagram to congratulate Romeo, revealing his brother's run had raised £6000 ($11,600) for the charities.

Romeo is an avid cross-country runner and is often accompanied by his famous father as he travels to schoolboy competitions across England.

While Victoria cleared her schedule to cheer Romeo on to fun-run victory, she will be notably absent from a rather large upcoming event: the wedding of her fellow Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell.

The Mirror said the fashion designer would not be able to attend Geri's wedding to Formula One team boss Christian Horner next month, citing work commitments abroad.

She joins fellow band member Mel C in replying "no" to the event, which is rumoured to be a ceremony for 300 guests featuring a performance by Sir Elton John.
