Sukhnandan distributes cheques among beneficiaries

JAMMU, Apr 26: Describing various Centrally and State sponsored schemes as right initiatives to address unemployment problem in the State, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Choudhary Sukhnandan today said that these most effective self employment schemes would encourage the youth to earn livelihood as entrepreneurs.
This was stated by the Minister in a public meeting held at village Chattha Gujran in Marh here today.
He said that the Government is committed to meet the aspirations of the people of the State despite all odds, while hoping that the common masses will extend their sincere cooperation to put the State on the track of progress and development.
Asserting that the Coalition Government was making every effort to create a congenial atmosphere for ushering the state an era of peace and prosperity, the Minister said that the developmental activities would be further accelerated in the coming months.
He also stressed the need for creating maximum awareness about the State and Centrally sponsored self employment schemes among the unemployed youth so that they could set up their own income generating units for economic prosperity.
Later, the Minister distributed old age/ widow pension cheques to 250 beneficiaries amounting Rs 4,64,000 of Marh Constituency. Ch. Sukhnandan also distributed cheques to the people who are suffering from chronic disease amounting to Rs. 50,000 each to 10 people sanctioned under Chief Minister Special Relief Fund.
