UTTARKASHI: Portals of Annapurna Devi temple situated at Dodital will open amid beating of traditional drums and vedic chants in Uttarkashi district on May 5.

Portals of Annapurna Devi temple situated at Dodital will open amid beating of traditional drums and vedic chants in Uttarkashi district on May 5.

Kamal Rawat, president of the Dodital Tourism Development Committee, said it was decided at a meeting held at Sangam Chatti in Uttarkashi district today that the portals of the revered Annapurna Devi temple would be opened according to vedic traditions on May 5. The palanquin procession of Goddess Annapurna and other deities would head towards the Dodital temple form Agoda village on May 4. The portals of Annapurna Devi Temple would be opened next day. — TNS
