Lee makes EPL return in Hull City match-up

Korean midfielder Lee Chung-yong played his first English Premier League for the first time in 1,077 days as he came as a substitute for Crystal Palace in a match against Hull City on Saturday.

Lee, 26, replaced Australian midfielder Mile Jedinak in the 63rd minute when the team was trailing 1-0 against Hull City at home. This was Lee’s return to England’s top division in nearly three years. He previously played with the Bolton Wanderers, currently in the second division.

Lee, who joined Crystal Palace in February, couldn’t play with his new club because of a shin injury that he got in the Asian Cup earlier this year.

The former FC Seoul player made a pass mistake in extra time, which led Hull City striker Dame N’Doye to score his second goal and end the match 2-0.
