Court stays the release of the movie
A city court has given an interim stay on the release of the film Ranna after a financier approached it against the producer. The film cannot be released till the next date of hearing of the case, which is slated on April 27.
Nagaraj C, a film financier from Shivamogga and a relative of Ranna producer Chandrashekar M, has gone to court demanding payment of Rs 30 lakh which is due to him from a previous film.
The film starring Sudeep is one of the most awaited films of the year in Sandalwood. The film was slated for release on May 7.
