Honours were even between Edinburgh City and Brora Rangers in the first leg of the Scottish League Two play-off semi-final.
It was the visitors who had the better of the opening 45 minutes, but could not find a breakthrough.
Ortega Deniran latched on to a short passback from Scott Houston to put the home side in front after half-time.
However, Martin Maclean equalised with 11 minutes left to keep the tie nicely poised ahead of next week's second leg.
The winner will play Montrose in the two-legged final for a place in next season's League Two.
