Umpires eject entire roster of both teams after ugly brawl in California with VIDEO

Umpires ejected the entire rosters of the Carson and San Pedro baseball teams in California after a massive brawl Thursday, leading to a double forfeit.

Both teams also will have to forfeit scheduled games in the San Fernando Tiger Classic Tournament on Saturday.

The game was tied 5-5 in the eighth inning when a batter was hit by a pitch. According to video on social media, the brawl seems to ignite when he gets toward first base and the fight continues down the rightfield line.

“Obviously, some poor decisions by players led to the fight, but this incident doesn’t define these two programs,” San Pedro coach Steve Tedesco told The Daily Breeze. “Mike Kline is a fantastic coach whom I have a ton of respect for. I know that he is as disappointed as I am in the outcome of the game, and will use it as a learning opportunity for his kids. Same goes with us at Pedro. We have a great group of kids who pull for each other. I’m blessed to be in a position to be able to help them learn from this, and we are looking forward to continuing our season.”

Carson was involved in a brawl last season against Banning that also resulted in a double forfeit. Both schools also had to forfeit their next games.
