GCS beat NCA in RBC Cricket nail-biter

LAHORE – Government College of Science (GCS) registered a nail-biting victory over National College of Arts (NCA) in the Red Bull Campus (RBC) Cricket Tournament 2015 match played here Friday. Batting first, NCA team posted 114 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Asad Masood held the innings together as wickets fell around him; the opener scored 42 runs off 41 balls. Ali Hussain, Shakeel Ahmed and Huzaifa Khalid took two wickets each. GCS team went past the target on the first ball of the final over. Hamza Masood scored 25 while Ahmed Sohail and Huzaifa contributed 18 runs each for the winners. GCS lost nine wickets in their chase of the 115-run target. Naveed Rajpoot and Umer Ahmed took three wickets each. The man of the match award went to Hamza Masood.
