The first plenary of Telangana Rashtra Samiti at Lal Bahadur stadium here on Friday saw Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao making a strong bid to instil confidence in people that he was unbiased to all sections.

Mr. Rao was re-elected as the party president for the eighth time on the occasion. Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy declared him elected as the returning officer. The announcement was made amidst bursting of crackers and blowing of flower petals on delegates from sprayers. An estimated 40,000 delegates attended the proceedings that began around noon under a huge pandal.

The plenary adopted 12 resolutions, one of which also discussed how the State overcame a critical power position in the initial days of its formation.

Mr. Rao assured industrialists that there will not be any more power cuts in the Sate .
