TOKYO -- Toshiba is investing around 5 billion yen ($42 million) to expand Indian and Thai capacity for plastic injection-molding machinery as the shift toward lighter vehicles spurs demand.
The Japanese company will boost output capacity for low-end machinery in the rising auto production base of India by 50% and build a new parts-processing facility in Thailand.
