Thane cops grill Ravi Pujari’s sisters about his whereabouts
THANE: Fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari’s two sisters were called in for questioning by the city crime branch on Thursday to secure information about the financial deals and his vast network of goons.
Naina Baburaj Pujari (40) and Jayalaxmi Ghanshyam Salian (48), both residents of Jawahar Park in Delhi, were directed by the Thane police to be present for a probe on the criminal dealings of their brother.

The two women arrived at the office of the anti-extortion unit and were allegedly grilled about the deals struck by their gangster brother, to which the two sisters are believed to be privy to.
The police said that Naina runs an IT business, while Jayalaxmi is a housewife. The police, however, refused to divulge any details about the other members of the Pujari family.
The sleuths also questioned the duo about Pujari’s whereabouts. Pujari has been accused of issuing threat calls and demanding protection money from builders as well as film personalities. It is believed that an official from Dombivli stumbled upon evidence of Pujari’s involvement in an extortion case and decided to summon his sisters for a thorough probe.
A senior police officer told TOI, “Through our network of informers, we learnt that Naina and Jayalaxmi were living in Delhi. A police team was sent there and they were issued summons to be present in Thane on Thursday morning.’’
