Police arrested three persons for alleged murder of a 25-year-old woman in the city.

SURAT: Police arrested three persons for alleged murder of a 25-year-old woman in the city. The woman identified as Sadhna Prasad was allegedly killed on April 19 for opposing relationship between one of the accused and her younger sister. The deceased was a resident of New Priyanka Township in Dindoli.
Those arrested have been identified as Ahmad Ansari (26), Afzal Ansari (21) and Satish Yadav (23), all from Dindoli area of the city.

On April 19, Sadhna's father, Krishna Prasad, had lodged Sadhna's missing complaint with Dindoli police station. Police found her body on April 20 in a canal on outskirts of Vaktana village.
Krishna told police that Sadhna had last informed him that she was going to collect money from one Ahmad Ansari. Based on this information police detained Ahmad. During his questioning it was revealed that Ahmad had allegedly murdered the woman with help of his friend Afzal and dumped the body in the canal in Satish's auto-rickshaw.
According to police, Ehmad was having an affair with Sadhna's younger sister Deepa. On knowing about the affair, Krishna and Sadhna sent Deepa out of Surat. To take revenge, Ahmad allegedly killed Sadhna, police said.
