RAJKOT: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of Rajkot city police arrested College girl murder accused Raju Darji from Junagadh on Thursday late night and brought him to city for further probe.
In a gruesome incident that has sent shock waves across the city, a 21-year-old Diksha Makwana was stabbed to death in a college campus by Raju Darji on Thursday morning.

Sources said that 21-year-old Diksha Makwana of Pooja Park was stabbed at around 10.45 am by her jilted lover Raj alias Raju Darji of Vinod Nagar on Kothariya Road. Raj allegedly stabbed her more than ten times. Both the victim and the accused are the students of the P D Malviya Commerce College on Gondal Road in the city.
Sources said that the two were close friends till about six months back when they broke up. Thereafter, that Diksha was engaged to Karan Parmar of Morbi town a few weeks ago which agitated Raju who was still in one sided love with Diksha.
Sources said that Diksha came to college with her maternal grandmother Gitaben Pithva to appear for her Second Year B.Com examination. Since, Raju had allegedly been stalking her for the last few days, her family members had been accompanying Diksha to the examination centre.
He was already awaiting Diksha in the college campus. Just as she entered the gate, he confronted her and shouted, "You have spoiled my life. I will kill you today." Even as Gitaben tried to pacify him, he attacked Diksha stabbing her in her abdomen and back as she ran out of the gate to save herself.
It was only after hearing Diksha's screams that around 50 students present in the campus rushed to her. Meanwhile, Raju fled from the spot leaving the knife behind.
Police said that Raju also posted Diksha's photo on his facebook account to defame her on social media.
