The body of internationally renowned mountaineer, Malli Masthan Babu, was brought to Delhi airport this morning from Argentina by a flight. After formal checks, the body would be flown to Chennai airport by a special aircraft.
According to information reaching here, the family members of the summiteer have left for Chennai to receive the body. Mountaineer’s sister Dr. Dorasanamma, who went to Argentina, was coming here by flight.
From Chennai, the mountaineer body would be brought to his native place at Gandhi Janasangham near Sangam town, 40 kms north-west of Nellore city.
Family sources said that the body would be placed for the public to pay their respects at their village in the evening. The state funeral would be accorded on Saturday.
