April 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - COIMBATORE:

Popular Front of India (PFI) will organise conferences for persons from minority communities and socially and economically backward communities at 11 places in the district from April 26 to May 31. At the conferences, the public would be elaborated on the policies of the Union Government and their implications on persons from the above said communities.

National executive member of the front A.S. Ismail said that the meetings were aimed at promoting equal rights for all and end the effort of those at power to divide and rule people on religious grounds. “In the conferences, we will create awareness among the participants on what they should do to overcome such forces and equip people to grow socially and economically strong,” he said. The meetings here are part of 110 such conferences organised across the State in April and May.
